I've voted in every major election - provincial or federal - since I was 18, except for the last federal one. And i'm not planning on voting in this one either. Why is there no option that says "I'm not voting" ? I can assure you we're plenty.
This single member plurality system we have in this country is a joke. I live in a riding that voted overwhelmingly liberal in the last elections, and is projected to do the same in this one. If i'm a supporter of any other party besides the liberals, my vote doesn't accomplish anything.
This is one of the reasons why I didn't vote last election. And it's why I won't vote in this one either. Another major reason why i'm not voting is because the only 2 parties that matter, the Libs and Cons, have idiots as leaders. So I won't support either with my vote. Voting for the other parties, especially in my riding, is a waste of time.
Show me someone that's worth voting in, and I'll do it. I like Jagmeet, but I'm not a leftist.
