True. The TCH through NB was only twinned about 20 years ago. Before that it was a 2 lane highway so the train would have been a much more attractive option. Having said that, the TCH takes a southerly route and bypasses the northern NB communities served by the Ocean, which I gather drives a large percentage of its ridership.
