Via used to have an RDC service on the NTR between Moncton and Edmundston. It has been gone for 30+ years for a reason.
Right now there is nothing running every second day as the Ocean only runs once ever 2 days. Leave that as is. It is one train and it is running back and forth between Montreal and Halifax.

On the opposite days, have a train doing through Saint John. Even if it is half the length, the Ocean is still not affected.

I wonder if the reason it was cancelled is the same reason we don't have the southern The Canadian route in the prairies.
