More doors, fewer bars: A look inside the new $35 million Saginaw County Jail

The jail is on track to be complete the first week of March. Rasco said staff will be moved over first and then inmates.

Currently, there are 390 inmates in the jail. The new structure will be able to hold 511, as opposed to the current jail which can accommodate 513.
