One of the largest skateparks in the country is well under construction on the downtown riverfront, or so say organizers that apparently track these sorts of things.
And the vision to do safety mitigations on the downtown river dams to create a white water park and adventure recreation course is creating a lot of buzz locally. Feasibility study came back with a $117 million price tag though, so this will have to be done in phases with creative fundraising.
