That's correct. But again, he's going to need more than just being Obama's VP to keep them - he sounds like an old reactionary white dude almost every time he talks about minorities.

Doubletalking, nationalizing a pipeline and just being generally corrupt doesn't help either. It's at times like these where the presidential system (voting for candidates instead of parties) looks much more appealing.
