I read in a report (have to find the link) that they just planned on re-introducing the fourth gate that was originally built into concourse B in 1986. Concourse A was built in 1988 as a temporary structure for Horizon. There wasn't any more detail on what changes are planned for A. I suppose they'll just extend B a little, and it'll be the new A? The E-175 jets are (mostly?) replacing the Q400 props for Alaska/Horizon. So as Alaska spreads out over Concourse C, in place of Southwest, perhaps they're planning on parking those jets at the gates more, rather than walk-up boarding that the props require. I'd imagine they'd be expanding B further in the future.
