Yes it's a TRIGA reactor and you can tour the NETL facilities at Pickle, provided your group passes the required background check: http://nuclear.engr.utexas.edu/netl/...s-a-procedures You can also submit a "Request for Operation" to preform nuclear experiments using UT's reactor. What that entails I don't even know.
