Sort of how the Hyatt looks in the skyline now, although maybe not quite that bad.
By contrast, Brookfield Place is a tour de force that will be a point of pride in the skyline for however long it stands. It's as close to perfect as office towers get in this country. It doesn't try to be flashy but that's part of the appeal... it demonstrates excellent design in an understated way.

Brookfield is as much a trendy design as Telus Sky. Both are far from perfect. Telus has some awkward sides inherent to the mixed usage. Brookfield tapering could have been more dynamic and, while the skin is very pleasing, it's a standard single skin used over and over. Both should age gracefully and be appreciated (by the likes that appreciate the modern era) long after trends have moved on.
