It'll be awhile until we see any movement on this one. For starters Ovation is right next door and it sounds like they won't do anything to this site until that's complete.
Also it's in the 'Skytrain Precinct' (where they want high density mixed use) of the 'Tower Precinct' (where they want tall towers). An 8 storey hotel is lower than what they want in that location.
