Food for thought, the city has proposed moving the Farmers Market over to Downing Street or somewhere over there (at least in concept).
If that were to happen the city or private consortium could tear down the existing Farmer's Market and build a honking parking garage (aesthetically pleasing) where it used to be. That would solve a lot of the parking woes while still forcing people to park downtown and provide foot traffic to the downtown core.
