This is a much better plan than the Spire and, dare I said, an excellent design. Too bad Related will probably drop the terra cotta for poured in place painted concrete.

Anyhow, this is only a 1.3 million SF building. For reference Vista is 1.8 million SF in a single tower. 150 N Riverside and River Point were both about 1.2 million SF. This project is much closer to a typical Chicago office building which we seem to constantly be building one or two of than a Vista or a Spire which was almost 1 million SF larger than Vista. This has a much much better chance of happening than the other pipe dreams we seem to see. Here's to hoping the economy doesn't shit the bed until 2020 or 2021 so this can get funded.
