Wendy's customers in Center City can breathe a sigh of relief. The "Scary Wendy" doll that lived in the window of the 15th and Chestnut location is gone. According to a manager, the near-lifesize freckled mascot was stolen, red braids and all. But before you celebrate future days of doll-free Frosties, know this: Store management is actively looking to get the mannequin replaced. Which is the right thing to do, since she was a uniquely Philly pop culture icon.
