I think it just revealed that it is all about the money when it comes to Bill Smith (BS). The "ready to engage" folks are extremely well funded and have massive businesses backing them.
BS might have been able to damage Nenshi more if he wasn't the #NeoCitranHaze candidate that cannot speak eloquently and figures revealing no solutions and no policies is enough to get him elected. Bad move.
I'd rather a Mayor that tries his best and appreciates expert opinions, rather than one who chooses not to get into the arena and is controlled by outside businesses. Nenshi is a knowledge society choice. Much better than a Post-Fact, Post-Media, Post-Truth option that is built on Fake News and Alternative Facts.
