Looks like they're drilling core samples, doesn't it? This is likely associated with the R108 project on the most recent Emerging Projects Poster/List -- the "West Sixth Micro Project" located midblock on the north side of 6th between Nueces and Rio Grande, not including the parcels actually on Nueces (Star Bar) or Rio Grande (Rio/Lux).

We have no renderings of this project, I don't think. 172 units in a mid-rise building should be 10-15 stories on a lot that size.
