Paths don't make places.

New connections are good and needed, but without some things along the waterfront that aren't trees and shrubs, the only "animation" will be the hostile mother geese in the spring, the occasional beaver, and the star attraction, angry pedestrians, pole-walkers, and bikers cursing at each other.
