What I'm not fine with is the proposal! An arena in the west village is ok I suppose... but build a stadium somewhere you have space for parking at the end of a train line, or renovate McMahon.

See the BC Lions, Toronto Argonauts & even St. Louis Rams if you'd like to know what happens to teams in an enclosed downtown dome with zero parking!!!
Zero parking at BC Place? While it's true that every new development project at Concord Pacific Place eats up another surface parking lot, to say that there's zero parking there is simply wrong. In addition to the large lot across and to the east of Pacific Blvd, there are still some smaller lots at the Casino and to the west. As well, there is parking in a lot of office buildings and public facilities (like the Library) which is available during game days/nights.

Don't forget the SkyTrain stations, on two separate lines, which serve the BC Place/Rogers Arena precinct, plus the fact that a lot of people will park on the south side of the Cambie Bridge and walk across (especially for Lions games, probably less so on rainy nights during the Canucks season).

I would hardly blame the Lions' attendance decline on parking. And the reason the Rams moved to LA is because of parking?? Please.
