I LOVE Vancouver's City Hall. It's a beautiful building and the view from it is to die for.

Unfortunately it is the antithesis of what one may think a City Hall should be. It is set apart from the city, has absolutely no social interaction, is very user unfriendly, and the grounds themselves are completely devoid of life or vitality. There are no social events held there at all or even any cultural ones. Unless you have to pay a bill or get some specific government document, you could happily live in Vancouver for 20 years and not even know what the building is.

Is it a lovely building but as much character as your standard black high rise TD Bank building that every other city in the country has. It really is a beautiful rendition of a suburban office building.............a functional 9 to 5 building and absolutely nothing more than that.
