I know LAX is behind in the times with the moving walkways and i think some terminals should have them in some cases but I never understood the obsession.
In all my trips to other airports, the people that actually walk the distance move considerably faster than those who just stand on the moving walkways. I never used the airport moving walkways. Even when im in vegas, the moving walkways between some of the casinos I avoid, I rather walk. Ill use those when Im 70.
The thing with LAX is that most of the distances ( from the actual plane to the street loop) isn't that long at all and the baggage claims being near the entrances makes the walk easier..... other than TBIT and maybe connecting between the terminals, Moving Walkways are just an added bonus but not a necessity as of right now.
I mean think about it, you sit on the plane for a few hours and then don't want to have to walk a short distance? and people wonder why their waist lines are expanding and blood pressure and Sugar levels are sky high ! that way of thinking leads you to the obese Walmart family clan that we see roaming in packs in motorized wheelchair/shopping carts. LAZYNESS KILLS PEOPLE.
