There are lots of good reasons to criticize the current government, fill your boots, but base it on actual facts. There is a bit of double counting in the total investments between the old and new Building Canada Plans, but even discounting for that and inflation, the Federal government has increased its investments in infrastructure exponentially over the past decade; this chart tells just part of the story (only includes annual federal contributions to provincial-, territorial- and municipal-owned infrastructure):
