It's part of why Calgary is so spread out. Much of the territory inside the city is undevelopable hills with inclines of 25 degrees or more. It does make for a great many parks and a cool landscape though. Even in the inner city, we have the bluffs between Hillhurst and SAIT or Sunnyside and Crescent Heights which can be probably 70 degree inclines in some places.
Here's one I took from Sarcee Trail on the top of the Paskapoo Escarpment in December. It's not that great quality, as we were driving 100 kph.
