Even though there's a grid pattern, high density, bike racks, pedestrian sidewalks, plazas and condo towers, a Whole Foods instead of a Wal Mart, an LCBO instead of a Canadian Tire, a farmers market, cafes, and a big-ass park, it all screams "homogenous suburban-style development" and "carpet-bagging power centre dressed up in pretty clothes" to people like alecz_dad/John Martin.
There's no reasoning with these kinds of people.
