Likewise, for 50% of the population to say that the stadium and arena are "very important or essential" is also very strong support, given that they are expensive projects that are actually used by a minority of the population in any given year (as is basically every civic facility of any kind). If you are waiting for a big majority to support each particular element of the project, you are going to be waiting a long time.
Overall, your analysis tells me that each part of the project has significant support, and that people are very strongly behind the complete package.

And lower support for the residential element is to be expected too, of course. I don't plan on living there so I can't be all that excited for something I'm not going to use.
However, you may remember a Sun (?) article about how excited the people who were buying the condos were when they finally got the opportunity. So it's not like that feature doesn't have its suporters either.
