I'd happily lose that glass walkway if it meant construction of a 46 floor office tower in that location. So long as they keep a PATH connection to get to the CN Tower for when bad weather kicks in I would be happy.
As it is, with the construction of Ripley's Aquarium I don't use the skywalk anymore to get to the Rogers Centre from Union Station.
A new office tower going in here would create a great opportunity to improve this bit of Front St and add in some more bars on both sides (ie Front and Station Streets). Several bars would be better than the East Side Mario's currently there. I've only been in there once, and have had no inclination to go back.
