A proposal by Nordmin Engineering to use the former Sir John A MacDonald school as a technical office will go before council tonight. It seems like a very odd location for an engineering office to me, but then again engineers do think different than the rest of us normal people. Over 100 people would work at the office. I think city administration is recommending council reject the proposal if I remember correctly.

The use of Sir John A. for a residential development faced stiff opposition from area residents about a year ago and the developer ultimately dropped that proposal. Much fewer concerns have been brought forth so far with this proposal, and is pretty well limited to someone not wanting cell towers on the property.
