The Traffic Bridge is over 100 years old and is in the centre of the city. It has nothing to do with Circle Drive South.

And secure funding before they start what? The bridge had to be closed because it was unsafe. It's sat unused for over a year now. The article is about the city weighing some options, before funding is in place to replace the old bridge, not build an additional bridge.

The bridges and river valley make up a huge part of Saskatoon's identity. I'll take that over a man made pond any day. To each their own.
