I also look forward to the ever expanding retail offerings on Main St. I look at like this CCC is has a good deal less sq footage than Crossroads/ZCMI center did. With the continued increase in residential in the CBD, the constant Tourist and convention traffic, CCC will fill up at a decent rate and other whether local or national retailers will want to be in close proximity to CCC. This could lead to Main St as well as surrounding blocks 100 S, 200 S, W. Temple, etc, being occupied by retailers that see the benefits of being located in such a well trafficked area and choosing to locate and refurbish many of the older store fronts on those streets. While many of the retailers are national brands, I still think that it ads to the vitality of the city, for instance when I was in Philly two years ago for a conference many of the national retailers such as Banana Republic and Kenneth Cole had stand alone stores on a major shopping street. These stores were in older renovated buildings and created a great street presence and pedestrian experience.

Here's to the future of Main St and the entire CBD.
