I'm posting here from a Via train on the way to Toronto and I have to say that I dream of the day when we have an operational LRT from Tunney's to Blair. Tracks are so much smoother than our ridiculously bumpy Canadian roads (no fault of our own, just the weather).

Can you imagine the same bus jam disaster on Albert/Slater was moved underground? It would be absolutely awful. The entire length of the DT transitway is already packed with buses at rush hour and Ottawa's population is expected to continue growing at a consistent pace for the next 20 years and there is no way we could accomodate this increase in bus traffic with a tunnel.
