^ Speaking of the John Buck Company, their website was just redesigned -

In addition to the new rendering of 505 N State (which by the way, the residential component is now rental, not condo, which certainly makes much more sense given that the project is under construction in this market while unit pre-sales had not even yet begun...), there is a new conceptual rendering for the proposed 222 W Randolph office tower. It's designed by GREC Architects (same as 505 N State) Size - 40-stories, 700,000 sf - most likely the proposal shown BP in their current search for new downtown space for their trading operations. The design - looks interesting, but it definitely needs to be fleshed out some more - still visually obvious it's very much just a concept....
Also - about BP - I've heard that their search is indeed seriously considering space in existing office buildings in addition to anchoring or being the sole tenant in a new tower - whereas the initial media accounts seemed to portray an almost certain launch of a new tower, that is not necessarily the case, but of course I'm hopeful it's their ultimate decision...
