I took a walk to the west today... the core for the south Emerald is topped out already! But I don't think we'll call the building topped out until the whole frame is finished. There are at least 7 caissons at The Mondial, even though the parking lot is not completely torn up yet. And the foundation company is one I've never heard of... guess Case and Revcon have their hands full. How do you pronounce "Mondial"? The way it comes out in my head it's almost indistinguishable from "Mondale".

740 Fulton can be moved to the completed list now - there's one missing window at the top and a plywood door at the bottom, but everything else is in place and it's largely occupied.

About the Jahn building south of NBC Tower, I would guess it's dead since that's the site being talked about for the skyscraper with the individual rotating floors. It seems we all forgot about that pretty quickly, huh? I wonder if that one's still alive.

I checked out 565 West Quincy, and there's no visible activity but it should be put on an informal "watch list" since the newspaper ads are calling it u.c. already. That's usually a harbinger of upcoming construction. Like BCBS there'll probably be a lot of internal work before columns start rising from the roof.

I would say the rotating tower was not even DOA......I doubt that was ever even remotely close to a "real" proposal...
