U of O has a pretty poopy pedestrian connection to the market in the current state. Somehow Cumberland is the most non violent visual/noisy route.
Yes though it's basically a on ramp to the highway. I am sure that is a selling point for lots of the residents and wouldn't be surprised if many of them are in the don't lose a lane of traffic for a sidewalk crowd.
