I think the engineering to provide a possible future station was to create a level section of track, rather than following the contours of the street. I don't think any actual structures were built as part of the cut and cover tunnels. It's possible there's some sort of structure that allows the removal of a section of the wall, but I doubt that it would be obvious in any images of the construction.
