Our harbour with its islands, beaches and waterfronts and in particular the downtown Halifax waterfront is truly a gem. Friends from Seattle who were here on a cruise ship visit last week were saying that they wished that their waterfront could be more like ours. Seattle has a major highway cutting their downtown off from their waterfront. Thankfully we (narrowly) avoided that fate.
