Average high in Halifax this October was 2 to 3 degrees above normal, the average low was 1 degree above normal, so doesn’t seem to be much to complain about there this year. It was really only the last two days that got unseasonably cold.
So far November is trending a degree or two below seasonal, and since it’s already Nov 20, you could be conflating more of November with October.
