I'm slowly trying to reduce my exposure to brick-and-mortar retail real estate (not urgently, but it's one of my criteria nowadays) for that exact reason.
On a related note, I think this forum's collective brainpower could be tapped for general long-term investment advice; we used to have such a thread, in fact. (I'm probably going to restart one some day.)
