Nice shot, thanks. I was wondering how close to grade we were. Guess still a couple months to go probably.

I think someone here made a prediction we'd be at grade by March. Any new takers?

another 2 months is my guess going by the rule of one month per underground level.

So end of May or early June before we see above-grade forms.

My bet for year end is around floor 20.

Forming has gone up for the final below grade level. So this should be at grade within the next few weeks.

Any news if anything is ever going to be rebuilt in that parking lot corner of the property on the northeast corner? It'd be nice to see that finally filled in.

Nothing any time soon. That parking lot, as well as the one across from the Lister Block on King William, are owned by A. DeSantis. An exceptional sprawl developer

Desantis does do condos in suburban areas - including a 14 storey condo going up in Stoney Creek right now. So it’s definitely possible. I’m sure we will see an application eventually.

Different DeSantis.

The two parking lots downtown are owned by A. Desantis Developments who did the Jackson on King and Nash (https://desantis.com/), the 14 storey condo on Green by the lake is DeSantis Homes (https://desantishomes.com/) .

There's also a 3rd, Multi Area developments. https://www.multi-area.com/

Not that it matters if they're conducting business independently.

It kind of does matter since the discussion is whether anything will happen here anytime soon. Darko and his family run "independent" companies for development, rental, and other items to avoid legal ramifications affecting all other business. They all operate in a similar fashion.

Originally, they were all owned by a different brother. They operate independently of each other. It isn't like Vrancor.

A pity. These plots, esp. the one across from lister are hugely lucrative plots. They are probably just sitting on them until the market is the juiciest.

That and the one across from the lister still somewhat looks like the building was just torn down yesterday - with bits of the old building still jutting out from it and the building side still looking like it was freshly scraped..

The lot on this block is $16 a day for parking and is generally pretty full on weekdays - It's quite profitable as is. I imagine they have other properties with lower profit margins they are prioritizing.

Just saying, but a large municipal parking garage downtown may just attract enough demand away from private lots like this to encourage them to develop..
