No orange. Without the orange showing up all the way up it just looks weird.

It needs more orange.

Yes me too. It has been half a century since such a large multi-retail format venue was added to the downtown core (excluding Chinatown & Gastown).

The City prefers it this way. The office towers are supposed to "blend into the sky". They don't care the bottom part having striking colours since the structure has been there forever.

Paul Huba's 1955 postman was being reinstalled today on the Hamilton Street side of the building. (It used to be on Homer).

The crane on the Homer Street side of the north tower was getting taken down today.

Thanks, officedweller. Lots of dark glass in that area and great densification.

I hate to be negative, but I'm in a bit of pain every time I see this project. Like someone dropped a suburban office park circa 2002 on top of the old post office.

I'm hoping the glass at street level will help tie the podium and towers together.

Not so much the height as it is the generic architecture. More green glass.

For sure! I think because of the architecture the height makes it worse. (There could be something nice with the same height)

I don't understand why the city doesn't force the design of these additions to match the building below.. this one.. the Bay.. all of these other heritage buildings in the city that have glass boxes dropped on top. It's not like they're not capable of building something similar to the existing structure. Costs too much? Too bad.

They don't have the thought process capable of handling anything beyond if it violates the viewcones.
I think it would look a lot better if it continued the red horizontal bands on the glass between floors. Good thick bands to add separation between the wall of glass and provide a more modern look from the more squared 60's framing of the old upper floors.

It's garbage. The only thing that makes the building seem acceptable or tolerable is the Amazon title.
