Things must be getting close to completion. The public art, Rodney Graham's 'Spinning Chandalier' is due to be unveiled on the evening of November 27th. It's 25 feet high, weighs 7,500 pounds, and is suspended under Granville Bridge. It will descend twice a day, spinning rapidly before returning to its starting point.

Thanks for the info. The chandelier will be static within weeks, if not days, if my cynicism is at all on the mark. Otherwise it will be a pinata for metal thieves.

Was watching an episode of the TV show "A Million Little Things" and they had a scene with one of the characters sitting on a bench in George Wainborn Park with Vancouver House in the background. Made a nice backdrop. They also had scenes of another character outside a restaurant in Yaletown.

Loving the chandelier: this will become a new landmark for the City of Vancouver. Just like the Gastown steam clock, people will come at specific times when it starts to spin or ascend up to take photos and view the actions. Would be great if the spinning is actually accompanied with classical music. Winter would be nice because with with longer night time hours, the chandelier can be displayed longer in its full splendor.

1/2 the lights in Telus Garden's alley are off and most of the illuminated under panels are also broken.
