Why would you post that? Posting only because you want to add to the totals is pointless. Don’t post unless you have something worth posting.

Kind of a hard response from CA, but it was a mind-boggling post. Why would anyone post just to say hi, so they can add to their posting totals?

It was a useless post, but no different than the vast majority of posts we see here on here. Seems like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

February 8th construction update from Western Securities on the Stadium Shopping Centre redevelopment.

08 Feb 2018 Project Update

Thank you for your continued interest in the Stadium Redevelopment Project. As of November 2017, Western Securities has submitted amendments to the Development Permit for the project and review is currently in the circulation process with City Administration. The expectation is that this process will be completed in the coming weeks.

Western Securities along with the design and construction team is working to meet all permit release conditions as well as develop site logistics plans throughout the construction process. Currently, construction drawings for the entire development are around 50% completed and the team is working towards a construction start of mid-2018.

As always, if you have any questions or comments, please contact Western Securities at: [email protected] or 403-263-6940.
I don't see too much new in the above, but still happy to contribute construction stuff to this construction forum. Looking forward to seeing multiple cranes on both sides of 16th Ave along that stretch!

Just found some back-up from the visual reporting I did above.

“Commuters may notice some finishing touches being tended to as we complete clean up and landscaping,” Premji said.
The Sarcee interchange referenced above is in blue on this graphic:

The main consideration seems to have been separating out through traffic on the main roads, from local traffic / access to the development.

The Trinity Hills interchange is indeed open, now they have moved to the bridge carrying Sarcee over 16th Avenue and are rehabbing it so construction is still very much active in this area. But the interchange itself is functional and other than final landscaping it is pretty much completed and works fairly well now that people are getting used to it. The bowfort Road interchange is also finished so both ends of the development have road access.

There is a part Na’a drive that connects the two interchanges through the development that needs to be constructed as well

Don't get your panties in a knot buddy. There have been things said much worse on this thread than Chinook Arch's post. Was it needless, maybe?, but so was Tallbob's and so was yours for that matter.

Yes, a lot worse. A few people around here need to get thicker skin and that would solve the problem. Personally I don't have a problem with people calling it like it is, I find it refreshing. But it's the same old story, someone makes a bold comment, and someone else take a suck attack.

All Tallbob said was he saw the list from those past years when he was on the site more. He didn’t say he posted because he wants more posts. He was just saying hi. You trolls then ripped him for it. Thanks for ruining this site. And that I say goodbye 👋

Things are okay, there's a few problem children but over all I still like the more rounded discussion here than elsewhere and suburbia has come around and is providing some good stuff which is more than can be said of other posters as of late.

I'm in the construction industry as well but not in a way that can really contribute to this site as people do not want to hear of new town home developments or such, just the big stuff and really this site was originally about skyscrapers and not low level developments. But when the tall building development environment sours like it has in Calgary other things need to come to the forefront and suburbia has being doing a good job of that - it's just too bad so many pople have suburbia on ignore because that just prevents hat I think would be good continued discussion/debate to continue.

I wonder how long it will take to have another Lakeview nimby situation rear it's ugly head here even though there has been engagement.
