I am curious as to whether this is going to be a rebuild where they demolish the whole thing and then rebuilt the front to how it was, or if they demolish just up to the brick and then sandblast the brick,...

you need to upload the pictures to an image sharing site and then link the images from the jpg reference of that page.

Ahhh that's funny! thank you for the photo, Hamilton is so small sometimes. I'm definitely into the concept of the towers so far.

Very distinctive! Can't wait to see what these look like from places such as Waterdown Rd. Connaught, Kresge and Landmark will make a good little skyline from the 403 area in a couple years.

sooo.. I'm not seeing any of the original kreskys facade in this rendering.. does that mean they are simply demolishing the whole thing..?

oh nvm 34 floors is facing king.. you can't see that corner from the rendering..

Definitely something new and different in the skyline. Has promise.

I'm curious about how the backsides may look -- a continuation of the same vertical pattern that's on the narrower end faces, or mostly glass, or more balconies?

I like the angled balconies - how one part is wider so you can actually put stuff on them - balconies are so annoying when they are just narrow because you can't DO anything with them - I'd prefer a smaller square one than a long narrow on tbh.

stumbled upon this pre-kreskys shot - shows a 4 story building here originally..

and another rendering of the proposed condo - much better lighting on this one:

"The portion of the façade facing King & Hughson will be reinstalled onto the podium of the new development, similar to how the façade of the William Thomas Building on James Street North is currently being reinstalled onto the podium of the William Thomas Student Residence."

The render above makes those areas above the windows, which are currently an eyesore, look very appealing.. it's amazing what a little craftsmanship can do!

I just hope it's not just bare concrete as the facade. If it's like City Hall's polish concrete panels than maybe it'll work. So far I've been very impressed with LiUNA work so I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. The type of material is gonna be critical for this building.

The balconies are all the rage these days, you can build a box building but if you make the balconies wavy, or patterned than it'll pass.

so far liuna is pretty good when it comes to craftsmanship and quality - so I have no qualms with them
