Since coming here from Saskatoon in 2011, Bob Kasian says he’s noticed a change in the city.
“It’s only been a few years that I’ve lived in Regina and it certainly does have a different vibe than Saskatoon does,” said Kasian, a corporate lawyer with MacPherson Leslie & Tyerman (MLT). “I do think Regina has a more vibrant feel. There is an entrepreneurial spirit here. There’s a real youth entrepreneurial spirit here.”
Kasian, who’s being inducted as the 2016 chair of the Regina and District Chamber of Commerce tonight, says the proliferation of brew pubs, restaurants and nightclubs in the downtown area is just one example of the city’s growing entrepreneurial spirit. “You look at the breweries, the restaurants. These are all young entrepreneurs that are doing a great job and adding to the feel, the vibrancy of the city.”
