Agreed. Compared to every other airport in the region doing very well.
As for international... It was down only about 3,500 passengers for the whole month. Always hard to figure that out because of it all being lumped into one. Would be nice to at least get a break down by scheduled/charter or by region... maybe Europe and "other." Be a bit tricky to post Asia on its own for the one flight to NRT.
The UK stats posted indicate that total market was flat in September.
Also, FRA had lost its one weekly on TS.
Sun destination flying makes up a huge chunk of international for many airports in Canada.
There was definitely more sun flying in Sept this year than last but probably not filling the planes as much.
In any event... like I said previously even though YYC is losing the extra 4 weekly on AC to LHR, next summer to Europe will have plenty of extra seats thanks to KLM, Edelweiss and Westjet.
Transborder was essentially flat down just about 200 pax. Statistically insignificant.
