Cadillac Fairview' is planning a second office tower in Montreal, which will be called 750 Peel and will consist of 30 stories (120 meters I believe). The renderings should be out soon, and the architects behind it used to work for Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.

If the tower will be 30 floors, then I doubt the height will be 120m. More like 135m. Office towers nowadays tend to have higher ceiling heights. Consider the Deloitte tower has 26-28 floors in 133m. Now if the tower will be 120m, then it should have around 24-26 floors. We'll see.

I see. There was a derogation to push the height limit to 120 meters, that's why. Maybe that was for TDC 2, and 750 Peel will be taller.

Well I hope they manage to get more than 120m as that hight is getting a bit repetitive for my liking.

I doubt this is the project, it was brought up by a simple google image search for "750 Peel"

Well I hope that's not it as it's boring as hell.

Looks like it could be it. Funny you just found it like that google.

It looks like its 120m, and it is located at Peel and St-Antoine, so for now, this is it.

The design looks similar to the Deloitte Tower I find.

It's really not that bad. It's a classic looking internationalist (I think?) glass and steel tower. I like it!

It doesn't have the sophisticated volume of Deloitte. It looks more like your typical bland glass box, Toronto style.

Certainly not pretty, but a great TOD development with retail and around 1000 residential units (I think). The two shorter towers are completed, and the one circled in blue is now UC. The development is called London at Heritage Station.

I thought they were only filling in the hole for the podium so a Save On Foods can be built. Not sure tower 3 is a go yet Chad.

It's marked on the database as UC, and there has been a thread about its construction in the projects UC section since May. You might be right though, I have a friend that lives in Tower 1 and he hasn't said anything to me about it.

Da Jama unearthed new renders for two proposals. We think they might be the final designs. Hard to say for sure...

This one is the Steel Hotel on George Street West. It's already U/C and completely framed. A heritage design was presented originally, but it looks like it's going to be completely different in appearance:

And there's a new render for the already-approved Deacon Building - a cool, triangular one that will be built at the edge of the Old West End, pushing our skyline significantly farther west:

Wow the redesign of the Deacon looks incredible. Both will be great additions to the city.

We have an ongoing FB convo, all of the St. John's guys who know each other, and it's universally beloved there. I think we have our first real winner since Fortis Place and Star of the Sea were unveiled.

My only concern is it's a little busy... a hot girl with too much jewelry and make-up. But the parking garage has to stay because of current regulations. So just wipe that from your view, think of it as part of the hill (it won't even be visible from the other side of the building). I like the rest. Those wooden, triangle-cut panels on the second-most top layer could go too, really.

But the rest is awesome. Love the green terrace. The top two floors are going to be condos, the rest office space. It's going to offer a pretty great corporate lifestyle for any businesses in St. John's that take up space there.

And Steel... it's the Downtown West End. Should have been taller, should have had vision, should be more in every way, and mixed-use... but I'm not upset that it's not a heritage building. It's surrounded by modern ones. Acceptable filler on wasted space.

Which one is Star of the Sea? Is that the one on top of the Atlantic Place Parkade? I know I was hard on that one before, but upon further reflection, it will be a great reclad and addition considering what currently exists there. I love all of the colour already present in the St. John's skyline, and even more on the way!

I actually like the whole thing of the new Deacon. I love that they added a lot of glass to it. It literally screams "Modern St. John's" to me The condos should also end up being the highest residences on the Atlantic Coast outside of Halifax too. Not bad!
