That would be a very prominent tower for sure. 40+ stories ?

As an asside, if any of you are driving north on 82st at around 115th ave, have a look at the stacked townhouse project going in just north of the transit station. We worked with the devloper on this one (Vinterra Properties and EICHTF) so it's a 90% market rate rental, but the finished product should be quite good given the detail that they have put into it, the location who their clients will be. This is a case where the community consultation resulted in a win-win for both sides.... we got a big ugly lot developed with a product which will not resemble "non market" housing, and EICHTF got our endorsement for the project.

That parking lot at the corner of 109 and Jasper has been there since the late 70s when the Esso station located there shut down. That's at least two generations.

That Lacombe proposal is hot. I like it... at least what I can tell from the small picture.

When was it proposed? I never even knew it existed.

Not to say that a buyer wouldn't also pursue a similar opportunity. Don't close doors so fast.

And Edmontonian is trying another kick at the can? Still pursuing an up-zone and dump model?

It looks like bcm will actually be building corner 1, so I guess there's a possibility that they will build Edmontonian eventually.

Epic tower sounds.... Epic.

Epic, worst name ever.

As for the Edmontonian, I still can't see them doing it if they cant get Founders going.

Exactly. The leg work has been done. If I was looking at this property, I see the hotel as good NOI, but the condo tower is where the real long term play is. That would be an amazing address.

This has been rumored for four years or so hasn't it? I would image this proposal is something the previous owner did.

That loser hasn't owned the property long enough to get something like that commissioned and probably hasn't paid the architect so I doubt they would publish it.

^that proposal from 2 owners ago if I am not mistaken.

Sounds like we will be seeing a Le Germain and or an ALT sooner than later in Edmonton.

Is that a Gooch design? If so, then it's an up-zoned dump.

Unless the translation is incorrect: Edmonton, yes. Downtown, maybe not.

My fear is they'll choose to open on Gateway Blvd or the new Ellerslie hotel strip near South Edmonton Common.
