Station 20 West is a great example of urban renewal for that area of the city.
As mentioned before, the housing/library component is nearly complete. IMO, the more exciting part of the project is still to come, that is the Community Enterprise Centre that will sit on the property at the corner of 20th and Avenue L. Along with a dental and medical clinic and other community services to be located in the facility, a neighborhood owned grocery store (more info
here) will be opened on the first floor by
CHEP Good Food Inc.
I've been doing some volunteer work this past year with a partner organization involved in Station 20 West. They are very excited and optimistic about what this development will do for the area.
Indeed, it will be exciting to watch how Station 20 and other projects and developments in the area transform 20th street and the surrounding neighborhoods.
