My guess is that they (Council) do know who the tenant is but are probably under instructions not to say what the restaurant is. There may be other franchise contracts that might need signing before all is finalized (Im just guessing at this stage). I guess we’ll know more about it once exterior walls and brand cladding and colours go up, which will likely reveal more information.

Anyone able to confirm what Lindsay Construction are building at Kenmount Crossing? Is this the new medical facility to replace St. Claire's? Site signs for the property and online still show this area as available.

I'm not 100% sure, but it might be Hickman Truck Centre. They are moving to that area. So it might be that.

Don't think it's fake as I was speaking with someone familiar with the proposed development.

Now that it has been confirmed No Frills is opening in the Village, there's still no word about the library opening up there. Even though on The Telegram it's confirmed it's moving to the village mall, anyone know when it's suppose to open?

On the city of St. John's website under the permits section, it shows there's a permit for a commercial school on that property which is the Sobeys and former Walmart parking lot

Anyone know whats being done on the side of Kenmount Road across from Crossroads/Subway/Orange Store? It's all blocked off and looks very active, noticed today the outline of a road can be seen too. Wondering if maybe extending Glencoe Drive but can't tell.

It's just an extension to Frito Lay warehouse.

Was out and about yesterday and noticed that there were two excavators at the end of Southlands Boulevard and I could see various concrete culverts in the distance on the unfinished route further up towards the direction of Galway. Has there been any talk lately of starting this road construction up again? Maybe it will get completed in my lifetime. Lol.

Also…at the end of Great Southern Drive next to the Orange Store/DQ/Little Caesars, they have recently cleared a very large area of trees for the next phase of construction of homes in that area. It’s slowly inching closer to the Galway area too. Pretty sure Great Southern Drive will eventually intersect with Southlands Blouevard by way of a roundabout.
