It does specify in the pricing that it may fluctuate based on the cost of the "2027 engine", so that leads me to think diesel, although if could possibly be hybrid as well.

Forestry crew has been cutting trees along the curves on Wellington Rd S. Some buildings to be demolished are boarded up but no signs of demolition crews yet.

They have started forming and pouring curbs along Oxford from Second St to the high school on the west bound side. Good sign that they are making progress on this portion of the BRT. They still haven't formed and poured the north side of the Highbury CP overpass side wall. They have done the south side. Still a lot of work to finish the west side of the overpass widening and do a traffic shift to start on the east side. Lots of heavy equipment now working the Dundas St portion from the vacant McCormicks factory to Highbury.

The disruption has been painful and will continue to get worse for everyone along the Wellington St phases. The worst part is the delays in making progress as work seems to start and stop all the time.

It's difficult to see on the renderings but I'm not sure how good Wellington and Commissioners will be after the rebuild is done. This is the time to fix some issues with the intersection's design. Ex you could easily fit a double left from EB to NB since one exists WB to SB already. Wellington NB also frequently has an absurdly long left turn queue that could really benefit from double lefts.

This is the busiest intersection in the city, and instead of taking the time to expand it they are actually taking some lanes out. There won't be a third through lane on Wellington SB for example.

For these businesses- hopefully the pain will be worth it, however the BRT will block left turns where there are currently no medians. Customers will need to U-turn at the lights, making those queues even longer.

Then again, the BRT is supposed to take some cars off the road. Let's hope that actually happens to lower traffic volumes.

Other then some tree removals and some property purchases they haven't even started on the Thames river to Baseline portion yet.

They are still working on the portions from White Oaks Mall north with no signs they will start to finish this phase this year.

Still waiting for a fiscal update on the finances of this project. Wouldn't it be nice to see an accounting before Oct election?

So McDonalds and Metro and the property owner Skyline Retail of the plaza on Wellington have filed OLT appeals about the temporary and permanent expropriations of parts of their property for the BRT project.

This could delay progress work on the BRT.

First coat of asphalt on the westbound lanes of Oxford across the front of Fanshawe. Looks a lot better up there already.

Only now are they starting to work on the concrete base for the bus stops in front of White Oaks Mall. The intersections of Bradley and Southdale along the Wellington phases are still construction sites. Being a Friday no workers of course because you know - its Friday!!!!

I agree with the city here, there's multiple ways to get into that plaza. Places that only have one entrance onto one road will face less traffic but they are right on the corner with entrances on both roads.

They have now paved the southbound lanes of Highbury over the CP tracks. This base coat should be painted soon in order to do a traffic lane shift to that side so work can begin on the northbound east side lanes of the overpass bridge and approaches. That will likely take them thru the rest of this year and into 2027.
