The failure of a concrete piling wall days before the cancellation of the Ardea strata building was announced can’t have been a coincidence. After all, when your construction site is flooded by the Fraser River, its budget is probably deep underwater too

Lake Ardea

I'm working a retail space (8590 River District Crossing) tomorrow morning. Worked on many Parcels for a period 3 to 4 years, its going to bring back memories.
I will check out Lake Ardea, anything esle worth taking pictures of? I'll take a good look around, a nice day tomorrow.

I think a second crane for the podium might be up.

Quote:
Construction at Harlin in River District is progressing steadily with several key milestones underway. The tower crane is now up and running, marking a major step forward on site.

By late September, the podium crane is expected to be in place, further driving momentum as Harlin continues to rise.

The raft slab is now 60% complete, with full completion targeted for the end of the month. In addition, slab on grade (SOG) preparation is actively in progress, keeping the project moving on schedule.

Harlin

Drove around and was unable to spot the Ardea site, I should have referenced Lexus above picture before hand. I'm back on site next week (mid week), I'll find it then.

They're going to fill it in.

Quote:
Wesgroup confirmed it plans to drain the site and fill the excavation.

“The standing water will be drained, and the hole will be filled in while we work to bring forward a new plan for the site,” the company said.

For Harlin

DPMA RE: Due to below-grade challenges, the parkade required a redesign on Level P1 and minor modifications on the lower parking levels. The structural design of the parkade remains unchanged. The purpose of this submission is strictly to the updated parking statistics; increased vehicle and bicycle parking.

I hope the walls don't cave in when I'm in the pit. I saw that video on reddit from a site in Coquitlam where that happened.

Looks like Ardea was on the far west end of the site across from Kinross Middle Park.

I live in the area and I’ve only experienced midges (which do not bite) while walking along the river trail. They are harmless but can be annoying. I’ve never been bitten by or even remember seeing a mosquito. They are basically non-existent.
