I wonder if they're going to charge more rent at the wider end of the balconies?

Certainly hope the strips up the side will be black metal cladding.

Still 7-8 more floors to go, this one is looking great! Such a nice addition to the area.

I was working next to this building today and was surprised the crane hasn't been raised yet. I would expect them to do so shortly.

I feel like there would have been an extra section of crane added when it was raised.

Uh... everybody duck when she comes around floor 30.

With the right balcony railings, this could look fantastic. Don't screw this up Claridge.

I agree then the new Italia design could be considered more esthetical pleasing to the masses, although the design certainly isn't original. Lahey, who usually designs dismal looking projects, had to inspire himself heavily by other well known projects such as Aqua in Chicago.
Should be noted that the Icon's design was done by Hariri Pontarini... I believe Lahey just came in for WD and Construction Admin.

I knew that. Not really sure how that comment came to be. Lahey designed SoHo Italia, but I had no idea he had anything to do with Icon.

This whole thing is going to be balcony railings so they better be nice!! Is there anything on the permits/applications that suggests the balcony material?

Looks to be topping out. Didn't really show it in the renderings but there is def something going on with the roofline in that last shot of formwork.

And yes this building is crazy prominent from several angles.
