The blackface picture of Trudeau was irrelevant to the majority of voters. He was at a party (possiblly Halloween), and having fun. It was amplified by the far-right, and Trudeau was painted as a racist, to obviously to distract from real issues.
In North America, we are seeing this first hand with the culture wars. Far-right media has somehow convinced that "transgender issues" is a threat to our way of life, when in the real World, most people never cared about this. It's to distract people from addressing real issues- the income gap, no health care for millions of Americans, cost of living, and human rights issues.
As for Hunter Biden, I feel terrible for him, especially considering the Trump children are far worse. Having a family member with a substance abuse issue is a plight millions of North Americans families go through, as it's relatively common. If we were to go back 50 years, nearly every President has had a family member that is wayward (Carter's brother, Reagan's daughter, Clinton's half brother, Obama's half Kenyan brother, and the entire Trump family). The Trump Administration went after Hunter Biden to hurt his father. It's disgusting and reprehensible to do so.
